Week 8 – Art Camp Recap and What’s Ahead
Hello again, faithful readers! We are entering our last two weeks here at AAC. Summer will be gone before we know it, but until then we’ll be sharing with you some of the amazing work our students created. Last week, our 7-10 year-olds created all manner of creatures in Scaled-Up and Monster-Sized, and learned about aquatic life while making amazing undersea creations in Take the Plunge.
Meanwhile, our 4-6 year-olds took a trip through the canopies in Jungle Journeys and learned some observational drawing skills in Look, Learn, Draw. Everybody’s work looked awesome this week, so once again we wanted to give our readers a little peek into what went on in camps in the gallery below!
As you can see, it was another creative and productive week here at AAC! Our students got hands-on this week and created a ton of super-fun three-dimensional works. Working with a variety of different media is a great way to expand artistic horizons – we hope that students will bring the creativity they brought to their projects this week to other projects they work on over the coming years! Hopefully, everyone came away from camp with some new artistic techniques and memories of a great time!
We can hardly believe that the summer is rapidly coming to a close here at AAC but we still have the rest of this week and next week to create some amazing projects before the summer has completely left us! There are hardly any spots left, but we might still be able to squeeze a student or two into our final week of classes next week! We will see you next week for another update as the summer draws to a close!
