David Ignacio

Using found materials as unconventional surfaces and assemblages as a vehicle for image-making and storytelling, David Ignacio explores ways of understanding the immigrant experience, perceptions of home, and displacement in a time of environmental existentialism.

David Ignacio (b. 1998) was born and raised in the Philippines and moved to the United States in 2013. He received his BFA at Virginia Commonwealth University’s Sculpture and Extended Media Department in 2020 with a Double Minor in Art History and Painting and Printmaking.
