To give you a better idea of what the gala will be like, follow us as we present the next Rated ART couple: AAC Resident Artist Hedieh Javanshir Ilchi and Erik Foxx-Nettnin, Chef de cuisine Mussel Bar and Grille Arlington

Hedieh Ilchi was born in Tehran, Iran and lives and works in the Washington DC area. Her paintings function as metaphors for the complexities that emanate from her polarized cultural. She earned her MFA at American University and her BFA at the Corcoran College of Art + Design. Ilchi has participated in solo and group exhibitions in Washington DC, Baltimore MD, New York City, Los Angeles CA, Birmingham AL, and Winston-Salem NC.

What made you decide to enter the culinary world?
Erik: From an early age I understood how cooking and eating together allows for raw expression and release of negative energy.
