Joey Enríquez

Working across digital, sculptural and printmaking practices, Joey Enríquez’s location specific work repurposes found materials in order to unearth, acknowledge and reframe forgotten histories.

Originally a graphic designer from Southern California,  Joey Enríquez transitioned from design to art in 2017 to explore a more interdisciplinary creative practice. Enríquez holds a B.A. in Art–Design from California Lutheran University (2018) and an M.F.A. in Fine Arts from George Washington University (2020). They were a 2020-2022 Hamiltonian Artist Fellow and were awarded a residency through The Studios at MASS MocA in November 2021. Enríquez is currently an adjunct professor at George Washington University, George Mason University, and Carroll Community College.
