Hold your next private function in the midst of outstanding contemporary art!

The Museum of Contemporary Art Arlington makes a unique backdrop for a variety of events, including corporate meetings, client events, cocktail receptions, private dinners, small weddings, retirement celebrations, memorial services, and birthday parties. We welcome events for groups of 10 to 200 guests.

Before the museum occupied it, our building served as a local elementary school, and is now listed in the National Register of Historic Places. Thanks to its illustrious reputation and buzzing location, the museum is the perfect venue for special events. Adorning our main event space, the Tiffany Gallery, are Louis Comfort Tiffany Studio windows. These beautiful stained-glass panels, part of Arlington County’s Public Art Collection, create a beautiful atmosphere for intimate events. The Meyer, Smith, and Chairmen’s Galleries feature changing exhibitions of contemporary art, encouraging mingling and dialogue among guests.

Outside caterers are permitted to use our kitchen with access to a refrigerator and microwave. Chairs and tables are available for use with parties of 75 or less guests. The Tiffany Gallery also holds a large projection screen and wifi access.

We do not generally rent the facility for events that could lead to damage to artwork due to crowding or strenuous physical activity. As a non-profit organization, we do not host political fundraisers or fundraising events for other non-profits (with rare exceptions on the latter, as determined by the museum’s board and executive director).

Finally, we carefully select every curator and artist to help us meet our mission of supporting contemporary art in the Mid-Atlantic Region. We do not permit rentals for one-night exhibitions or other art events or classes unrelated to the museum’s programs.

You are encouraged to schedule a walk-through at the museum prior to booking an event. For more information, please contact events@mocaarlington.org.
