Artist-led Workshop: Bojagi-inspired Pins

THURSDAY / OCTOBER 15 / 6:00PM - 8:00PM

Make your own felt pin with artist Julia Kwon, inspired by her interpretive Korean bojagi creations. Free to attend!

Come create your very own felt pin inspired by Julia Kown’s interpretive bojagi creations. Traditional Korean patchwork bojagi is made of fabric remnants, typically cotton or silk, and then used to wrap clothing or gifts.

You will pick one of three designs created by the artist to base your creation on, or run with your own design idea! The finished project can be pinned to your backpack, jacket, tote, beanie hat, etc.

This workshop is a great opportunity to play with fabric, think about pattern and design, and learn about the tradition of Korean bojagi.

Make sure to drop in with enough time to explore and create– at least 20 minutes. Appropriate for all ages.

Location:
MoCA Arlington Innovation Studio + Store: 525 14th Street S, Arlington, VA 22202
Free parking available in the garage after 4pm for up to 3 hours.
