Artist Talk at the Innovation Studio + Store: Lex Marie

Saturday / April 26 / 2pm / Innovation Studio

Join us for a conversation with the Innovation Studio Artist in Residence, Lex Marie, and MoCA Arlington Curator & Resident Artist/Collector Liaison, Amanda Jirón-Murphy.

Lex Marie will discuss her multidisciplinary practice, the intentional use and exploration of unconventional materials, and the work she’s creating during the 6-week residency at the Innovation Studio. Marie’s work is an invitation—an invitation to confront uncomfortable truths, to engage in conversations that echo the experiences of marginalized communities, and to reimagine the ordinary as extraordinary.

Talk will begin ~2pm. Tour the artist’s studio and the Innovation store: 525 14th Street S Arlington, VA 22202

Free.
