Artist Talk at the Innovation Studio + Store: Roxana Alger Geffen

Wednesday / July 24 / 6pm

Join us for a conversation with current Innovation Studio Artist in Residence, Roxana Alger Geffen, and MoCA Arlington Exhibition Curator, Blair Murphy.

Roxana Alger Geffen, a sculptor and textile artist, discusses her practice and the work created during the six-week residency, Weaving Together.

“Everyone is welcome to collaborate with me on [a] daily weaving. You can choose yarns for me to use and try weaving yourself.

When each weaving is finished, I’ll cut the cloth off the loom and pin it up on the wall. I’ll label each piece with the names of my collaborators and their choices.”

~Roxana Alger Geffen about Weaving Together

Interact with the work and hear more about the development, process, and practice of Geffen’s work in the artist talk beginning at 6:15pm. Free.
