In Conversation: Manuela Well-Off-Man and Esteban Ramón Pérez

Join curator Manuela Well-Off-Man and artist Esteban Ramón Pérez for a discussion elaborating on the topics of identity, Modernism, and contemporary art explored in the AAC exhibition In Spite of Modernism. The program will include a presentation by Well-Off-Man on her exhibition Action/Abstraction Redefined which emphasizes Native artists’ contributions to American Modernism, and then proceed with a conversation on Pérez ‘s featured work DNA (Bad Blood) and the similarities between his processes and the art of Indigenous Modern artists. The talk will be held virtually via Zoom on Thurs., February 17 at 6PM EST.
