Spring Exhibitions Gallery Talk

June 2 / 1-3pm

Join us Saturday, June 2 for a gallery talk with the artists of Spring SOLOS 2018 and resident artist Negar Ahkami. Tour the exhibitions with the participating artists and AAC staff. Engage in a conversation about the work on view and then join us for a closing reception to meet and mingle with these talented artists.

Featuring drawing, sculpture, and installation, Spring SOLOS 2018 highlights both the strength and the impressive range of the Mid-Atlantic region’s contemporary artists.

Spring SOLOS 2018 artists: Sean Derry, Adam Griffiths, Phaan Howng, Giulia Piera Livi, Nick Primo, and Jerry Truong.

In Fantasy Will Set You Free, Negar Ahkami’s expressive, tactile paintings are inspired by Iranian art, and by global visual traditions that intersect with Iran’s rich art history.
