Summer Camps: Ages 14-18

SUMMER CAMP 2026: JUNE 22 — AUGUST 21

Museum of Contemporary Art Arlington offers a wonderful and wide range of creative summer camps for your creative students! Camps are offered for kids starting at age 5 and up to teens ages 18. Campers will go on an artistic journey and explore the visual arts through exciting projects in 2D and 3D media while learning about new and different artistic techniques and contemporary artists working in the world today!

MoCA’s camps will be offered either at MoCA Arlington or Marymount University’s main campus. Campers at MoCA may even get the chance to tour the museum’s galleries and create works inspired by what they see. Campers at Marymount University will get to create art in the collegiate fine art and ceramic studios.

Programs are offered for ages 5-7, 8-10, 11-14, and 14-18.

Camps onsite at MoCA Arlington: 3550 Wilson Blvd. Arlington, VA 22201

  • Full & half day camp options available for ages 5-10 only.
  • Teen and pre-teen camps run from 11-3pm. There is NO Before & After Care offered for ages 11-18.
  • MoCA provides complimentary Before & After Care for camps onsite at MoCA for ages 5-10. Before Care begins at 8:30am for students enrolled in morning camps. After Care ends at 5:30pm for students enrolled in afternoon camps.
  • Supervised lunch break is available for students enrolled in *both* morning and afternoon camps. Students participating in MoCA’s supervised lunch must bring their own nut-free bagged lunch. We will have lunch outside when weather permits.

Ceramics Camps at Marymount University: 2807 N Glebe Rd, Arlington, VA 22207

  • Camps at Marymount are offered from 9:00am – 12:00pm OR 1:00pm – 4:00pm.
  • No before or after care is offered at this location.

Camps at MoCA’s Innovation Studio & Store: 525 14th Street S Arlington, VA 22202

  • Camps at ISS are offered for ages 5-7 and 8-10 from 10:00am – 4:00pm. Complimentary Before Care begins at 9:00am and After Care ends at 5:00pm.
  • Students participating in MoCA’s supervised lunch must bring their own nut-free bagged lunch. We will have lunch outside when weather permits.

(De)monstro: A Participatory Ritual by CRASIS

Join us for a special art performance by collaborative duo CRASIS on Saturday, September 12! (De)monstro is a participatory ritual blending spoken word, music, puppet theater, and sacred clowning. Framed from a queer, eco-feminist perspective, the performance honors destruction in service of life.

Rowena Federico Finn’s mixed media work meticulously combines wide-ranging materials including capiz shells, piña fabric, found images, and historical texts to explore experiences of cultural displacement and histories of colonialism.
