Portraits: Drawing in Color Workshop
In this workshop, students will learn the basics of working in color with various drawing media; ink, colored pencil, and pastel. Beginning monochromatically in ink, and ending in full color media, students will gain an understanding of color theory and optical mixing through small scale projects and exercises. We will be working primarily from photographic references ranging in still life to portraiture. Emphasis will be placed on observational drawing skills, expressive mark-making and color relationships.
