Mindful Stitching Workshop
In this workshop, participants will learn about ‘slow stitching’, which emphasizes a meditative, intuitive approach to embroidery. Students of all skill levels are welcome to join in learning a handful of basic embroidery stitches, how to layer fabric with textile ‘collage’ techniques, and incorporating additional materials such as yarn to add dimension. This workshop will be focused on intuitive creativity and self-expression, and students will benefit from the community of other participants and guidance from the instructor. All materials will be provided, but students are welcome to bring their own fabric, needles, thread, and/or additional materials they’d like to incorporate.
