Color Theory
Explore the endless possibilities of portraiture through mixed-media art making! Over the course of eight weeks, artists of all levels will explore the human face through drawing, painting, and collage, merging classical techniques with contemporary experimentation. Students will study anatomy, proportion, and structure while also embracing expressive color, abstraction, and layered approaches inspired by today’s most exciting mixed media portrait artists. From bold color and texture to inventive materials and composition, you’ll learn to capture both likeness and emotion in new ways. Whether you’re refining foundational skills or reinventing your creative process, this course will help you develop your own unique visual language, one face at a time.
