Color in Motion: Color Theory Through Abstract Painting – Workshop
Dive into the vibrant world of color theory through the expressive lens of abstract painting in this hands-on acrylic workshop. Designed for artists of all levels, this class focuses on building a deep understanding of color relationships while developing a non-representational composition. Through guided exercises and personal exploration, students will learn to create dynamic color schemes, lay out an effective palette, and develop strong contrast using principles of value, temperature, and saturation. We’ll explore how color choices affect mood and movement in a painting, and how to use layering, color mixing, and opacity control to achieve depth and harmony. Participants will leave with a finished abstract painting and a toolkit of techniques to continue their color journey beyond the studio.
