Ceramics: Handbuilding Techniques

Join MoCA Arlington at Marymount University and get an introduction into hand building. In this class, we will focus on different handbuilding techniques, such as pinch pots, stamp-making, soft slab, hard slab, and coil. The lessons will explore how handbuilding techniques can be used in making functional and sculptural works of art using clay. The instructor will work with each individual to help them improve their skill and artistic vision in the technique they will be working on, as the class is designed for individuals at all levels in their learning journey.
