2D Studio Explorations (Ages 14-18)

Students will learn a variety of 2D mediums in this studio course, to include painting, drawing, printmaking, and mixed-media collage. They will learn the difference between representational and abstract art, but will ultimately be able to choose what they want each project to look like. Students will learn about color, composition, value, and texture, in addition to how to convey meaning through artwork. All skill levels welcome!

  • Supplies are included in the cost of this class.
  • This is an in-person class that will be held onsite at MoCA Arlington.

An Adventure of Being explores blurred boundaries, physical breakdown, and states of in-between-ness. The painting, sculpture, and installations included in the exhibition incorporate materials and forms that bring to mind living beings.
