Looking & Drawing: The Portrait

In this workshop, students will learn the process of drawing a portrait from reference in graphite. All skill levels are welcome! Students will learn to simplify a complex portrait using a straight forward approach to rendering and measuring. The workshop will highlight basic facial anatomy/proportion as well as various rendering techniques.

  • This class is a workshop and will only meet once.
  • Supplies are included in the cost of this class.
  • This is an in-person workshop that will be held onsite at MoCA Arlington.
