Introduction to Figure Drawing

In this course, students will learn the principles of drawing the figure from life. All skill levels are welcome! Students will explore the figure using graphite, charcoal, and pastel. This course will begin with an emphasis on capturing gesture and action. As students gain confidence with quicker poses, we will graduate on to long poses with a focus on intuitive anatomy and comparative measurement.
