Intro to Oils WORKSHOP
Students will gain an introduction to oil paints in this one day workshop with local artist and arts educator, Emily Sullivan. We will learn about paint mediums, setting up a palette, basic color mixing, and composition with a focus on oils. Students will first complete a series of quick color-mixing exercises to learn about value, temperature, and intensity. After this, students will have the opportunity to work from a still life to learn how to complete an oil painting from start to finish. Students will leave with the skills and resources to continue oil painting!

- This class is a workshop and will only meet once.
- Supplies are included in the cost of this class. Students will leave the class with an oil painting kit.
- This is an in-person workshop that will be held onsite at MoCA Arlington.
