Beyond Painting (Ages 11-14)

In this class, students will hone basic painting skills and take their artwork to the next level through experimental techniques and imaginative prompts. Students will have the opportunity to learn about and be inspired by contemporary artists whose work reimagines traditional subjects within a contemporary context. The focus of this class will go beyond traditional painting skills as students practice the high-level creative skill of making artwork with personal or other conceptual foundations.

  • Supplies are included in the cost of this class.
  • This is an in-person class that will be held onsite at MoCA Arlington.
