Wild Violet Watercolor Workshop with Arte e Vino

In this two-hour workshop participants will enjoy the spontaneous nature of watercolors while learning how to control them to create convincing floral studies.

One of the first signs of spring are the wild violets we find emerging in the most unlikely of places. These well-loved little flowers will provide the inspiration for watercolor compositions as participants learn to mix colors, load and double load a brush, blend and create graduated washes, and even remove colors. Students will also learn about composing, color relationships, and how to professionally present finished artwork.

We will enjoy a tasting of a variety of wines selected especially for the spring season: Sauvignon Blanc, Reisling, Rosé, as well as an Orange Muscat.

This workshop offers techniques and tools that facilitate success for the beginner and experienced artist alike.
