Everyday Heroes Creative Workshop: Ages 8-10
A hero is a person who is admired for courage, outstanding achievements, or noble qualities. But in these challenging times, many people in our daily lives are stepping up and acting heroically. They are our “Everyday Heroes.”
In this workshop you will design and make a medal for someone who has been an Everyday Hero for you. For example, you might make a medal as an award for someone who has helped you by delivering your mail or your groceries, or to a nurse or a doctor, a family member, and even your pet!
Medals can be made from many materials, such as cardboard or paper decorated with markers, crayons, pens, colored pencils, ribbon, collage and more. Gather your art supplies (including scissors and glue) and instructor Jennifer Penick will help you create a special medal to give to a special person.
