Sketchbook DC

Explore the wonders waiting right outside your front door through the directness of drawing with the addition of color. During our first class, we will work on the fundamentals of drawing and color media onsite at AAC, but from then on, our classes will meet throughout the DC metropolitan area to discover all it has to offer, from historic architecture to lively greenery, and some of the best museums in the world.

Since we’ll be on the move, we’ll be travelling light with a sketchpad, a few pencils, and portable color media of your choice. All experience levels are welcome to discover and artistically render our area, though drawing experience is recommended. Advanced students are encouraged to hone skills and to begin developing their artistic voice. This is also a great course for those new to the DC area.
